Responsibilities: • Responsible for providing detailed analysis and recommendations of borrowers’ credit worthiness, with emphasis on commercial borrowers • Analyze, present and make approval recommendations on loans that meet policy criteria to the Board of Directors or Loan Committee • Analyze and rate the risk of each borrower, based on credit/accounts receivables audits, inventory audits, real estate appraisals, liquidity, market position, overall business climate, and financial statements, loan covenants, or other information as requested • Provide comments and write-ups on financial conditions of customers as well as covenant violations to Loan Officers • Provide risk assessment and advice to loan officers regarding loan policies/procedures, credit analysis, financial statement evaluation, and credit investigations • Monitor portions of the existing loan portfolio to include letters of credit, and the participation, municipal, SBA and subdivision loan portfolios to ensure proper origination and servicing
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Finance/Accounting or 5 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Prior experience as a credit analyst preferred • Understanding of the banking system and practices • Strong software proficiency (Baker Hill a plus), including Word and Excel • Ability to complete assigned tasks with little supervision • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
